Julie Brown Sounds to me like she's directed and acted in a few failed chick flicks, but I'm not interested enough in her to find out...
Paul Brown Star Trek. The X-Files. Sounds like he's going where no geek has ever gone before...
Karin Gist "Jump In". Great...
Regina Y. Hicks "Jump In" as well. Perfect... |
And several of them have worked on "Girlfriends", which seems like a rather odd piece to add to this puzzle...
Director: Matthew Diamond.
Desperate Housewives, Gilmore Girls, That's So Raven... Okay, so the shows I chose to mention are very not-representative of his career, but I gather that he can do just about any semi-fluffy TV show if he puts his mind to it...
Producers:
Kevin Lafferty - Cow Belles, Twitches, Jump In, Cadet Kelly... Not the best, but not the worst either...
Alan Sacks - Pixel Perfect (x33333333!) You Wish, The Other Me, The Color of Friendship, Smart House... He may be a bit rusty, apparently doing nothing but "His Holiness The Dalai Lama" between Pixel Perfect and now, but I'd trust those credentials. I mean, Color of Friendship won a freakin' Emmy!
And just go here for the full cast's bios....
Overall, not great. I like Alan Sacks' resume, and Paul Brown might add an interesting touch, but I'm not crazy about the rest of them...
And in case you haven't read it yet, the summary:
"Camp Rock," centers on a teen girl who desperately wants to spend her summer at a prestigious rock camp, but can only attend if she works in the kitchen as one of the cooks. When she's overheard singing - but not seen -- by a teen pop star at the camp, he is completely taken and sets out to find the girl behind the beautiful voice. But first she must confront her fears, step out of the kitchen and into the spotlight.
So, the future looks slightly dim... I foresee another ooh-Cowbelles-kinda-sucked-but-I-suppose-I-have-to-love-it-cuz-I-love-Aly-&-AJ... Then J.O.N.A.S! will probably be a My-Super-Sweet-16-The-Movie-okay,-Aly-&-AJ-CANNOT-choose-good-scripts... Man, too bad Joe and AJ broke up, they were made for each other. Or at least she might make him realize what a bad script looks like...
But you know I'm a pessimist. Well, no, but I have to bring myself down before the movie does.
